Deeper Dives: Workshops and Drop-Ins

Lancaster Improv Players offers additional ways to dig deeper in improv skills and topics through Workshops and Drop-In Classes

All students enrolled in a class at LIP receive benefits for the duration of their course(s). Our students receive free standby tickets to shows. Generally, Workshops and Drop-In Classes only offer benefits for the day of the class.

Workshops

Improv Workshops are one or two-day improv classes on special topics. They range between 2 and 6 hours per session. Workshops can feature guest teachers brought in from neighboring communities and distant improv lands. Keep an eye out for what comes next, as they’re likely to be gone when they’re done.

Drop-In Classes

Weekly drop-in classes run about 90 minutes long on Wednesday nights at 7 PM. Most are stand-alone and feature one of our rotating instructors. These classes dig into topics that the teachers are passionate about or can be more experimental. It’s a perfect way to try improv for the first time in a low-cost, low commitment way. Experienced improvisers and students sharpen their skills and experience different perspectives on improv.

Check our Eventbrite for upcoming drop-in classes and sign up in advance, or pay at the door. As long as there are 4 students, the class runs. See you there!

Currently drop-in classes are suspended. We’re working to bring them back and will update when more information is available.
